Max Recorder gives you the possibility of recording sound from media players or web browsers. If you hear something you like and you'd like to have it with you, this simple application will definitely satisfy your needs. Its clean and straightforward functionality allows even the most basic user to start recording right away, without any effort.

The application is free to try, without any significant functionality limitations. It works on numerous Windows versions, from Vista, all the way to Win 10. The installation process is quick and straightforward and you don't have to meet any special requirements. Also, you don't need to sacrifice too many resources to run the software.

If you have any audio playing, on your browser or in a media player, the application will start recording right away, once you launch it. Recorded tracks and ones that are currently being recorded are displayed in a list, on Max Recorder's compact user interface. You can start and stop the recording process instantly, by clicking the large red button on the left.

The application's design and functionality are both simple, so there is not much for you to do, beyond recording. However, this doesn't mean that Max Recorder doesn't place any options at your disposal. You can open up a configurations panel and choose between mono and stereo channels and set an encoding quality. Additionally, the application is capable of splitting your tracks automatically. For this, you only need to click a button, located directly beneath the recording option.

Recordings can be saved one by one or all at the same time. You can store them in local folders, in MP3 format, and you can also add some meta-information, like Title, artist, album and so on. Alternatively, you can send your recorded tracks directly to iTunes.

Recording any sounds browsers or media players make can't get any easier when using Max Recorder.

Pros

You can start recording sounds from browsers and media players on the fly. The application lets you store your tracks as MP3 files or send them to iTunes. Max Recorder is lightweight and you can have it up and running in no time.

Cons

A welcomed feature would be the possibility of preventing the application from starting to record automatically when it is launched.
